Social media influencer Jessica Tawil has captured hearts around the world after sharing an emotional video of herself walking for the first time in 10 years.
Tawil, who became paralysed in a devastating car accident in 2014 while still in high school, used a cutting-edge exoskeleton device to stand and take steps, something she once thought was impossible.
The video is going viral, receiving over 330 million views on TikTok and 140 million on Instagram so far.
Known for her uplifting online presence, Tawil has long inspired her followers with candid discussions about disability, independence, and positivity.
"I love her positivity and how she's just embraced her situation. She's been a positive influence on people living with disabilities," says Primedia Digital Content Editor Barbara Friedman.
