Cape Town police are on the hunt for four men who escaped custody at the Wynberg Magistrates Court.

An investigation is underway to determine how the group escaped, and police are not ruling out an inside job.
The Democratic Alliance (DA)’s Nicholas Gotsell has criticised the criminal justice system for a lack of tight measures to track inmates.
"Unfortunately, we're not entirely sure how the recent escape happened. I find it highly suspicious that six people were able to escape. But the bottom line is that these matters are becoming more and more prevalent, and it is certainly something that we should be looking at and asking in-depth questions about."
