Different civic movements have united in their call for the metro to urgently address their challenges.
Frustrated residents have gathered in front of the Johannesburg Council Chambers to have their concerns addressed.
The posters in their hands reflect their concerns and challenges they are forced to live in.
They are complaining that they do nothave access to clean water, with some citing they do not even have any water at all.
Zintle Tyuku, a member of civic movement; Amandla.mobi says there are many water related issues plaguing the city.
"You go around Johannesburg, you see pipes that have burst, clean water gushing out, and yet the narrative that the city is pushing is that communities are wasting water. They are the ones that are wasting water." Tyuku said.
She added that this is an issue that all residents are faced with.
