The prosecution in the high-profile trial of alleged underworld gang boss, Nafiz Modack, on Thursday used evidence taken from a co-accused’s cellphone to show slain top cop, Lieutenant Charl Kinnear, was being tracked before his murder.
Modack and 14 others face 122 charges for various crimes, including Kinnear's murder outside his Bishop Lavis home five years ago.

The screenshots show Kilian was "pinging" Kinnear's location before using Google Maps to estimate how long it would take him to get home to Bishop Lavis.
Kilian previously told the court it was Modack who paid and instructed him to track Kinnear.
Modack has denied receiving messages from Kilian related to tracking Kinnear.
Wolmarans asked: "Now, of course, we know your initials NM for Nafiz Modack, hey."
To which Modack replied: "That's right."
Wolmarans continued: "But this is not you."
Modack stated: "No, my lord. I can't see how one person would save my name eleven times different. Definitely not, my lord."
Modack is set to return to the witness-box when the matter resumes on Monday.
