Rising Stars Generation Discipline Camp in Pretoria is on a mission to transform the lives of troubled teens.

Speaking to 702’s Relebogile Mabotja, founder Prince Motlou emphasises the importance of teaching children discipline, self-confidence, and leadership skills from a young age.

His journey began as a high school learner, where he was frustrated by the lack of discipline and respect for authority among his peers.

This sparked a vision to transform young people, which eventually led him to establish the Discipline Camp.

The programme is designed to help children develop a strong sense of identity, respect for authority and a clear understanding of their values and morals.

“The reason why these kids are like this, they struggle with identity; they don’t know who they are and don’t know their purpose.

“We actually do more leadership than we are on discipline. It's learning who you are, it's learning how to live with people, it's learning teamwork, and not to be lazy.”

Addressing safety concerns, Motlou says the camp has robust security in place, which includes police and medical personnel on site.

He believes his camp is essential for young people to grow into responsible adults who can have a positive impact on the world.
