Police appeal for help in search for 8-year-old Khayelitsha boy missing since December

The Khayelitsha Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is appealing to the public for assistance in locating an 8-year-old boy who went missing on the 14th of December.
The child’s mother only reported him missing on Friday, 2nd of January.
Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg said the boy left his home in Makhaza, and has not been seen since.
"Oyama Titshala who went missing on 14 December 2025. At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a green short pants, orange jacket and pink running shoes. Anyone with any information who can assist with the investigation or who knows the whereabouts of the child is kindly requested to contact the investigating officer detective Captain Riccardo Mccree on 082 522 3154"
