Confusion over legal representation has taken centre stage in the Wynberg Magistrates Court shooting case.
Four of the five accused linked to a fatal shooting inside the court building in April 2025 are still without lawyers.
Shireen Matthews, Abubaker Adams, Brian Booysen, Wanay Farao and Vuyisani Zengethwa appeared in court on Wednesday.
Proceedings focused on which court will hear the case.

The court heard that Adams, Booysen, Farao and Zengethwa still have no legal representation.
Legal Aid earlier said it would not represent the accused, and a Judicare lawyer was meant to be appointed.
The four accused told the court that a woman claiming to be a lawyer visited them in prison, in December.
But they were unable to provide the court with her details, and she was not present in court.
State prosecutor Advocate Christiaan de Jongh has assured the court he will investigate the matter.
