The man accused of carrying out the murder of Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras, has abandoned his bail.

Armindo Pacula, a 25-year-old Mozambican national, briefly appeared before the Johannesburg Magistrates Court on Monday morning.

Pacula is facing charges of premeditated murder, contravention of the Immigration Act and conspiracy to commit murder.

The second suspect arrested in connection with the high-profile murder of Stock abandoned his bail after his legal representative confirmed that he is illegally in the country.

Pacula’s legal aid representative confirmed he would not go ahead with a bail application, as previously intended.

“In the circumstances, that the address is negative and he is illegally in the country. He is abandoning bail.”

Pacula will remain in custody until Wednesday, when he will appear alongside his co-accused, Victor Majola.

Majola, a Soweto taxi boss, is accused of orchestrating Stock’s murder.
