Murder accused mother of 11-year-old Jayden Lee Meek’s case has been postponed for the submission of a plea proposal.
Tiffany Nicole Meek is charged with the murder of her child, defeating the ends of justice, crimen injuria and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
The 11-year-old boy was found on the staircase of the complex where his family lives in Fleurhof in May last year.
Dressed in a black dress, a seemingly more composed Meek made a brief appearance at the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
Her new legal team told the court that they will be approaching the state with a plea bargain.

The matter has been moved to 25 March, where the court is expected to hear if an agreement was reached between the state and defence.
Her legal representative, Lyle Wyngaard, said the aim is to bring the case to finality.
"Well at this point nothing's been finalised. All that's going to happen now is the defence is going to tender a plea to the state, and hopefully then there's a meeting of the minds, call it a meet of the plea, hoping to bring the matter to finality.”
Advocate Mohammed Yusuf Razak further explained what this entails.
“What those formalities are is that we have to present a statement. That statement will be the factual matrix of what we intend pleading on, what the facts are surrounding the actual circumstances and if that's accepted, on the next occasion we come and we plead, meaning we give the facts and the state will then those facts convict the accused person.”
