Suspended top cop Fannie Nkosi tells court he can afford R10k bail

Suspended police officer Fannie Nkosi has told the Pretoria North Magistrates Court that he can afford R10,000 bail.
Nkosi returned to the dock for his formal bail application on Monday.
The disgraced cop was arrested during a raid at his home in the capital earlier this month, where police found seven firearms, state-owned ammunition and six dockets.
This, after he was implicated at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
Nkosi has been charged for his handling of the firearms and ammunition, as well as being in possession of dockets while he is on suspension.
He is further accused of being the middleman between suspected crime kingpins and senior police officers.
