Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla will return to the Durban High Court for the resumption of her 2021 July unrest trial.

The daughter of former President Jacob Zuma faces charges of incitement of terrorism and incitement of public violence.

The State is accusing her of using her X social media platform to trigger unrest that led to the deaths of more than 400 people and widespread looting in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.

Zuma-Sambudla's trial began in 2025 and since then, several witnesses have taken the stand, including social media experts.

In a previous testimony, a cybercrime expert said that Zuma-Sambudla’s tweets played a significant role in the lead-up to the unrest.

She has pleaded not guilty to the charges against her.

A new witness is expected to take the stand on Monday.

Meanwhile, there are several other court cases happening simultaneously, involving those accused of inciting violence that led to the deaths and economic turmoil in the country.
