The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (OUTA) is calling on government to be more transparent about South Africa’s strategic oil reserves, following the extension of fuel levy relief

The R3 fuel levy relief was extended for another month on Tuesday to help ease the impact of high fuel prices.

While OUTA has welcomed the extension, it said there is still uncertainty over whether the country has enough fuel reserves.

OUTA CEO Wayne Duvenage said government needs to be more transparent.
