The leader of the National Coloured Congress says he believes police wanted to kidnap him after they raided his former home in the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to Fadiel Adams, the Political Killing Task Team said they were looking for him with face masks on, refused to identify themselves, and parked their cars 100 metres from the home, which he sold to a family about two months ago.
Adams believes he was being targeted after a question he asked during a portfolio committee on police last Wednesday.
“I just have a few questions [inaudible] about the suspension of the national commissioner because he was criminally charged. I just want to know why General Khumalo is still allowed to act as the head of CI; he’s in the exact same position.”
