The bodies of four men between the ages of 20 and 37 were found in Overcome Heights, Muizenberg, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The men all had fatal gunshot wounds and are suspected to be victims of gang violence. The Western Cape Anti-Gang Unit has been deployed to investigate the incident.
Traut says the unit is looking at all possible leads to bring the perpetrator(s) to book.
“The motive is still unclear… but we have reason to believe that it was a gang-related attack.”
