KZN MPLs to probe source of expired food found in Bluff warehouse

DURBAN - The portfolio committee on economic development in KwaZulu-Natal said it would investigate the source of the expired food discovered in Durban on Wednesday.

"Firstly, we want to commend the police for excellent work but on top of that, we are quite worried about this," said the portfolio committee's chairperson, Mafika Mndebele.
Mndebele has also called on the national government to act in order to prevent such incidents.
"We call upon on the national government and we are aware that they have begun the process to ensure that they buy scanners and close borders."
