‘MasterChef SA’ wins Best Cooking Show at SA Restaurant Awards

The world-class local version of ‘MasterChef’ was named the Best Cooking Show at this year’s South African Restaurant Awards on 7 April.

This was a newly introduced category at this year’s awards, aimed at recognising the television shows that inspire.

“... the award is entirely determined by public votes with over 950,000 votes nationwide... South Africans watch the show and they enjoy the show.”

Its fifth season recently concluded on SABC 3 with Mangwandi taking home the Masterchef title.
