Ernest Page test drove the new Chery Omoda C5 hybrid and gave us his thoughts.
CapeTalk’s Pippa Hudson speaks with motoring journalist Ernest Page.
Listen below:
The Omoda C5 is a sleek, modern compact crossover SUV available in petrol and hybrid versions.
The hybrid has a combined driving range of 1,200 km and can be recharged by a DC fast charger, which allows it to reach between 30% and 80% battery capacity in around 20 minutes.
The C5 features dual 10.25-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, intelligent voice command and a five-star safety rating.
Page says this car has a few idiosyncrasies and features that take some time to get used to.
“It has all these little electronic aids that I am not too much of a fan of.”
- Ernest Page
However, once you are comfortable, he says it is a stylish and well-equipped car.
