Search for Sunninghill woman swept into river to resume on Saturday

JOHANNESBURG - The EMS (Emergency Medical Services) search and rescue team suspended its search on Friday for a woman who was swept away by flash floods in Sunninghill.
It's understood the woman was in her car when it was swept into the Sand River last Friday. The vehicle was located but the woman is still missing.
EMS spokesperson Xolile Khumalo said the search will resume on Saturday at 8am.
"EMS urges the community of Johannesburg to keep away from flooded rivers. Please do not perform any rituals in the rivers during this time."
