The City’s Water and Sanitation Directorate have been alerted to a leak on the 915mm diameter bulk reticulation water main in Blackbird Avenue, Parkwood.

It's understood that the leak is due to a vandalised air valve and repairing it will necessitate shutting off the water supply, impacting a significant portion of the southern areas of the city.

Areas to be affected include:

  • Pelican Park
  • Eagle Park
  • New Horizon
  • Peacock Close
  • Pelican Heights
  • Strandfontein
  • San Remo
  • Bay View
  • Phumlani
  • Zeekoevlei
  • Grassy Park

  • Ottery, Wetton
  • Knole Park
  • Retreat
