Former CoCT MMC Malusi Booi & his co-accused granted bail in fraud case

17 September 2024 | 11:19Booi and his nine co-accused are accused of being involved in a R1 billion tender fraud within the City of Cape Town's Human Settlements directorate.
CAPE TOWN - Former City of Cape Town Human Settlements MMC Malusi Booi and four of his nine co-accused have been granted bail of R250,000 each.
The other five co-accused have been granted bail of R25,000 each.
The total bail amount is R1.5 million.
They're accused of being involved in a R1 billion tender fraud within the City of Cape Town's Human Settlements directorate.
Bail conditions set by the court include that the accused may not have any contact with witnesses, not leave the country or their provinces for the full duration of the case.
