The party on Saturday held a celebration rally at the Vosloorus Stadium to thank its supporters.
The sentiment among MK Party supporters and officials at the rally has been largely anti-ANC and anti-Government of National Unity (GNU).
However, when it comes to the ANC-led coalition government in Gauteng, the mood is different.
MK Party provincial spokesperson, Bafana Mahlabe, said the organisation was not opposed to Panyaza Lesufi’s government.
"Here in Gauteng, there is a minority government, in which we are not part of it as such, but we have a very cordial relationship because it’s not the classical GNU arrangement that we know, which has got the Democratic Alliance in it."
The MK Party caucus in the Gauteng Legislature has voted with the ANC on a number of items, most notably the provincial budgets.
