Hiking trails to remain closed after fire in Red Hill area

CAPE TOWN - Hiking trails will remain closed on Monday, as mopping up operations continue, following a blaze in the Red Hill area.
 
The fire was first reported at 3PM in the Red Hill informal settlement on Sunday and spread rapidly due to strong southeasterly winds.
 
The Table Mountain National Park said that approximately 116 hectares of land were burnt before containment.
