Gauteng Police Commissioner Tommy Mthombeni has revealed that one of the suspects linked to the kidnapping of a Vosloorus spaza shop owner is known to the victim.
Mazwi Kubheka was abducted a month ago while on his way to the bank. He was finally released on Saturday and managed to make his way to the Vosloorus Police Station.

According to Commissioner Mthombeni, Kubheka was seized by an undisclosed number of people on April 2. Speaking at a media briefing attended by Premier Panyaza Lesufi earlier today, Mthombeni stated that the victim was blindfolded and held captive in a hijacked building.
"From the date of his kidnapping, the victim could not account for what happened as he was blinded. He was only unblindfolded at a place where he was kept; upstairs, he was guarded by two Malawians," said Mthombeni.
The Commissioner added that the captors released Kubheka near Brakpan yesterday. Following his release, he hitchhiked to the Vosloorus Police Station before being transported to a hospital for medical attention.
