The airline's system crashed on Tuesday, affecting ticket sales and bookings.

JOHANNESBURG - The airline company Cemair says its reservation and booking system remains partially down after its reservation and ticketing system crashed.

The system crashed on Tuesday, affecting ticket sales and bookings.

Passengers were unable to book online or check in.

However, this has since been restored.

CEO Miles van der Molen says their web sale function is also back online, and passengers no longer have to arrive two hours earlier for manual bookings.

"The travel agent side will be switched on later this evening. You can book online, and the check-in process is streamlined; it's not automated yet, but it is streamlined, so no additional time at the airport is required."
