DURBAN - ActionSA in KwaZulu-Natal said that despite security concerns, it would continue launching branches across the province.
Last week, the party cancelled a branch launch at the Kennedy Road informal settlement, outside Durban, after someone discharged a firearm at their event.
The party said that while the incident was a clear example of political intolerance, it will not back down.
"Despite security concerns."
While he is worried about his safety, ActionSA KwaZulu-Natal leader, Zwakele Mncwango, said that they would continue launching branches in KZN.
Speaking to EWN while flanked by his security, Mncwango said they would be back in Kennedy Road in July to complete the branch launch, which was interrupted.
However, he said that for now, they were headed to northern KZN.
"During July, we will launch that branch. We will never stop launching branches, as I am talking to you today, I am driving to Newcastle over the weekend. Herman Mashaba is coming to the province. We are launching three branches in Newcastle with the president and we will continue to launch branches all over the province; no one will scare us."
Meanwhile, the man arrested for discharging a firearm at the party event two weeks ago was back in the Durban Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Xolani Morgan Dlamini faces charges of pointing a firearm at a crowd and discharging a firearm in a public area.
The State on Tuesday added intimidation charges.
Dlamini will return to court on 28 July.
