CoCT's disaster managers receiving requests for flood kits
A cold front that made landfall earlier continues to batter the metropolitan municipality with flooding reported in several suburbs.

CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town reports that its Disaster Risk Management Centre is receiving requests for flood kits in Lwandle, Macassar, and Khayelitsha.
A cold front that made landfall earlier continues to batter the metropolitan municipality with flooding reported in several suburbs.

The Disaster Risk Management Centre's spokesperson, Sonica Lategan, says the impact of the storm is still unclear.
"Officials are also conducting assessments at New Culture along Mew Way in Khayelitsha, following reports of wind damage, and in Vygieskraal, where a canal has overflowed. We’ve also received reports that a canal in Wolmarans Street in Southfield has reached capacity and is overflowing.”
