JOHANNESBURG - Some patients from the Rosettenville Clinic have expressed surprise at how quickly they could receive help.
Community members are currently outside the health facility staging a protest, blocking foreign nationals from accessing health care services.
They are calling for the prioritisation of South African citizens in health facilities.
A mother who came for medical help said that it was the first time she had not been turned away from the clinic due to it being full.
"Since I have gotten to the clinic, my children have gotten help. We were not turned away. We got in and we left the clinic within an hour."
She added that she was able to get medication as well, which was usually out of stock by the time she was attended to.
