JOHANNESBURG – On Sunday, Alan Hatherly showcased his exceptional talent by winning round 8 of the 2025 UCI World Cup Series in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
The South African cyclist took the lead on lap 4 of 8, steadily building and maintaining his advantage to secure his third victory in the cross-country Olympic (XCO) World Cup.
Earlier in September, Hatherly made headlines by dominating the elite men’s cross-country event at the Mountain Bike World Champs, where he claimed an impressive victory and retained his title.

The 2025 edition of the Lenzerheide event was particularly special, as it marked the eighth time that this stunning Swiss location hosted the world's highest mountain bike racing series.
The competition from September 19 to 21 brought together the best athletes in the sport, featuring traditional races in various disciplines, including cross-country short track (XCC), downhill (DHI), and, of course, cross-country Olympic (XCO).
