Nathi Mthethwa's body to be repatriated after all formal processes completed - family

The family of South Africa's ambassador to France, Nathi Mthethwa, says his remains will be repatriated once all formal processes have been completed.
Mthethwa died in Paris and his body was found at a hotel this week after checking into a room on the 22nd floor.
French authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

The ambassador's family says they have taken solace in the unity and compassion shown by South Africans as they wait for more clarity into his death.
They say French authorities have been transparent and unwavering in their ongoing investigations.
On Wednesday, chairperson of Parliament’s international relations committee, Supra Mahumapelo, said Mthethwa’s death must be properly investigated to avoid speculation about how he died.
Meanwhile, ANC leaders in KwaZulu-Natal are on Thursday expected to visit Mthethwa's family in the province.
