Vusi Matlala linked to kidnapping of ex-partner Jerry Boshoga

A member of the team who arrested Tembisa Hospital tender tycoon, Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala, believes he had a hand to play in the kidnapping of Jerry Boshoga.

Boshoga, a former business partner of Matlala, was kidnapped in November last year and has yet to be found or released by his captors.

Testifying before the Madlanga Commission, 'Witness C' - a member of the Gauteng Counterintelligence Operations Unit - explained how they found a white sheet during a raid at Matlala’s home in December, which they believe was linked to Boshoga’s kidnapping.

"It had torn edges and sides, and it was manually tied to one of the windows as a curtain."

Witness C said they had seen the sheet before.

"In one of the videos for the ransom that was sent to the family of Jerry Boshoga, we could see that the sheet resembles the same as that on the video."
