The recalled vehicles were made available nationwide from 4 May 2021 to 17 October 2024.
Carmaker Nissan has told the NCC that during engine operation, thereis potential for movement of the fuel pipe within its retaining clip.
This movement could lead to wear on the fuel pipe.
The company said it’s also possible for the wear to generate a perforation condition on the fuel pipe, resulting in a potential fuel leak.
The NCC said the success of the recall depends on immediate response by car owners who have been called to return the affected model for inspection and repair at no extra cost.
This is the third recall in October alone and affects other carmakers, with a total of 19 recall notices issued since June.
