Four-time world champions South Africa have received a favourable draw by virtue of being ranked 1st in the world.

The draw for the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia was conducted on Tuesday.

The expanded tournament will feature 24 teams for the first time and will see 16 teams go through to the knockout stages.

Four-time world champions South Africa have received a favourable draw by virtue of being ranked 1st in the world.

They’ve been drawn in Pool B where they’ll play against Italy, Georgia and Romania.

The Springboks are the reigning champions and will be targeting an unprecedented 3rd consecutive world cup title.
