The Golden Globes delivered a strong night for film, with 'One Battle After Another' emerging as one of the ceremony’s standout winners.

It picked up multiple major awards, including Best Director and Screenplay for Paul Thomas Anderson, while Teyana Taylor won Best Supporting Actress, marking a breakthrough moment in her acting career. 

"To see her get her flowers and be celebrated, and everybody just seemed so happy for her. It was a great thing to see. Seeing Paul Thomas Anderson also finally winning after making so many great films, he's being applauded and celebrated," says freelance entertainment journalist Caryn Welby-Solomon.

In the acting races, Timothée Chalamet strengthened his awards-season momentum by winning Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for 'Marty Supreme', positioning himself as a serious Oscars frontrunner. 

"He seems like the man to beat at the moment."
