Thousands gather for annual Cape Town pride parade

Thousands of people from the LGBTQIA+ community and allies descended on the Mother City to take part in 2026’s Cape Town Pride parade.

Supporters and marchers were clad in rainbow colours as they made their way up the fan walk on Somerset Road in Green Point on Saturday.

Held annually for more than five decades, the parade continues to promote visibility, diversity, and inclusion.

Attendees expressed excitement ahead of the festivities at the Green Point Athletics Track.
