Forensic investigator Paul O’Sullivan has apologised to national Speaker Thoko Didiza and Parliament for storming out of the police ad hoc committee meeting last week.

O’Sullivan was back on the witness stand on Thursday to conclude his evidence after abruptly storming out while still being questioned by the evidence leaders.

O'Sullivan's return to the committee will also see his former assistant, Sarah Jane Trent, giving evidence on Thursday about allegations of interfering in Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) investigations.

He continued his evidence in Parliament with more questions about his infiltration of IPID.

O’Sullivan was also told to apologise for revealing confidential financial information of committee member David Skosana.

Before the start of his testimony, O’Sullivan did issue an official apology for his walkout and also submitted an affidavit.

O’Sullivan’s former assistant will also give evidence, where she will also face allegations of interference and impersonating an IPID official.
