Hotel associations in several FIFA World Cup host cities have told Forbes they aren't seeing the financial boom they were promised by organisers, which prompted 947's Anele and the Club to make a few phone calls and see for themselves.
America, Canada and Mexico are all hosting what is supposed to be the biggest sporting event on the planet but with just two months to go supporter numbers aren't looking good.
First up the team called hotels in Mexico City near the stadium where the opening ceremony is due to be held on the 11th of June. Bafana Bafana is due to play Mexico in the tournament's opening match on that day.
The Holiday Inn, the Radisson and City Express by Marriott all had plenty of space.
Then, the team called hotels in New Jersey, New York City where the final is being played on the 19th of July.
The Hampton Inn and the Radisson both said they could accommodate a large tour group.
Only the Residents Inn, operated by Marriott had two rooms available.
"But I mean, I am not a naysayer... but let's all be honest now, it is a cause for concern because if you're going to America for the World Cup, you should've done your visas already. You can't do your visa if you don't have accommodation," said Anele.
So, does she think they're going to have empty stadiums?
"They're going to fill it out with ICE agents," quipped Anele.
