Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi and her deputy, Andries Nel, are expected to meet with legal practitioners in Pretoria on Monday to strengthen collaboration and encourage transformation in the legal sector.
The department said that the meeting will focus on meaningful dialogue around empowering previously disadvantaged professionals.
Spokesperson Terrence Manase said that there are ongoing efforts to ensure fairness in how state legal work is allocated.
“As the primary guardian of the Constitution, the Department of Justice continues to uphold constitutional values, the rule of law, and human rights, while fostering a legal profession grounded in fairness, inclusivity, and transformation.”
