Violence in Ottery: 12-year-old among four victims of mass shooting

Police are still looking for suspects involved in the mass shooting of four people aged between 12 and 23 in Ottery of Friday afternoon.

The victims were left seeking medical attention after the occupants of a white Toyota Etios drove down the street and opened fire.

Grassy Park CPF chairperson, Nicole Jacobus said the cause of the shooting remains unclear but could be linked to various disputes.

"Unfortunately, the shooting is not new to us, as this is something currently happening across Cape Town. From the community's side theirs's mixed feelings about the deployment of the army in our communities. We continue to urge our residents to come forward with any information that could assist our law enforcement agencies with the investigation.
