Member of Parliament Fadiel Adams says he only became aware on Sunday morning that a search warrant had been issued against him.
Adams was addressing the media in Cape Town this morning following Saturday’s raid at his former residence in Mitchells Plain.
Officers, believed to be linked to the political killings task team, reportedly stormed his former home looking for him.
The leader of the National Coloured Congress says he received a call from the new homeowner at around 6 in the morning on Saturday, informing him about the operation.

He says he then took the homeowner to the Lentegeur police station, where she opened charges of assault and intimidation.
“At one minute past 8:00 this morning, Mkhwanazi sent an email. He tries to recall. You can see it; it's in your pack. He tries to recall the email. That's when I see in his own handwriting that there is a warrant out for me. Now, understand, I've made it clear to this man weeks ago: if you have a warrant, don't come with drama, man. Don't send rifles into my house. Don't come and traumatise and hit my kids.”
