DURBAN - Thousands of Democratic Alliance (DA) supporters have gathered at Durban’s Curries Fountain Stadium for the party's KwaZulu-Natal Rescue South Africa tour campaign.

The party’s federal leader, John Steenhuisen, and its premiere candidate, Chris Pappas, were among DA leaders in attendance for Saturday’s campaign rally.

The rally forms part of the official opposition’s efforts to win over KwaZulu-Natal and its voters in the upcoming polls, which has historically had widespread support for parties such as the African National Congress (ANC) and Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP).
