Kagisho Dikgacoi has praised Bafana Bafana for their World Cup qualification, calling it a proud moment for the nation.

Bafana secured their spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a decisive victory over Rwanda on Tuesday evening.

This exciting achievement comes after a disappointing setback where they dropped four points in their previous two World Cup qualifying matches.

Safa and Bafana Bafana were sanctioned by FIFA for playing midfielder Teboho Mokoena in March when he was supposed to be serving a suspension.

However, the squad managed to shake this off and will be representing the country in the Americas next year.

This will be the first time the national team has played in a World Cup since 2010.

“It really is a proud moment. The guys have done a fantastic job,” said former Dikgacoi.

Dikgacoi said some credit must be given to the PSL as it shows the standard of local football is improving

He added that the players will need support from the fans and Safa in 2026 to give their best possible performance.
