Coca‑Cola and Oreo have launched a limited edition Oreo Coca‑Cola sandwich cookie and Coca‑Cola Oreo Zero Sugar drink.
So basically a biscuit that tastes like Coke and a Coke that tastes like a biscuit.
According to both companies' websites, "the biscuit boasts a distinctive red and black colour-blocked design featuring two unique base cakes, one classic chocolate and one red-coloured golden embossed with Coca-Cola designs, stuffed with a smooth white-coloured creme. The base cakes are paired with a Coca-Cola inspired taste fans know and love, and popping candies that bring a “fizzing” sensation to every bite."
"With each sip of the Coca‑Cola Oreo Zero Sugar limited edition, fans can savour a refreshing Coca‑Cola taste with flavorful hints inspired by Oreo cookies, creating an unparalleled experience from these new-found besties."
"I personally thought both of them were ghastly, I hated both of them. I thought both of them were really accurate, as a science project it was magnificent. The biscuit tasted like Coke and the Coke tasted like a biscuit, it was creepy. It made me feel sick. One bite and I felt sick."
- Dr Anna Trapido, Chef and Food Anthropologist
"I absolutely loved those biscuits...The fact that it was able to mimic it so well, kind of blew my mind, just from the smell. If you've ever had an Oreo and you've taken a sip of coke at exactly the same time, that's exactly what those biscuits taste like; that's exactly what the drink tastes like...it's that infusion...I was totally shocked that it tasted like that."
- Anthony Teixeira, sports presenter
"It's very strange to drink a Coke that tastes like a biscuit and a Coke at the same time."
