JOHANNESBURG - Acting Gauteng Premier Lebogang Maile has condemned the killing of a woman traffic warden by her boyfriend, who is also a police officer, in Eldorado Park.
Earlier this week, the 42-year-old officer was arrested and is facing a charge of murder after allegedly brutally killing his 22-year-old girlfriend in her home using his service pistol.

It is alleged the couple had gotten into a domestic dispute moments before she was murdered.
In efforts to address the matter, on Saturday, Maile will be visiting the victim's family as well as the Eldorado Park police station to tackle challenges of domestic and intimate partner violence.
"The visit by the acting premier comes after the tragic murder of a Gauteng traffic warden who was allegedly killed by her boyfriend, who is a police officer,” said provincial spokesperson Mohlalefi Lebotha.
“As the Gauteng provincial government, we condemn all forms of violence, especially against women. We will work tirelessly to ensure justice is served and support is provided to the affected family and community."
