The 30-year-old musician is facing three counts of attempted murder, negligent discharge of a firearm, robbery with aggravating circumstances, two counts of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
During judgment, the state submitted evidence that Chauke committed some of the alleged offences while he was already out on bail for a previous matter, despite a condition prohibiting him from committing a Schedule 1 offence.
The court also found that the applicant showed a serious disregard for the law.
It further ruled that, if released, the accused was likely to disturb public order again.
Chauke will spend Christmas and New Year behind bars. The matter will return to the local court on 18 February 2026.
