The City of Cape Town has officially filed a notice of appeal at the Western Cape High Court.

The metro wants to appeal a judgement handed down in favour of the Cape Town Minstrels Carnival Association, ordering the city to provide them with a venue.

Legal representative for the association Junaid Jumat says his client is considering launching urgent proceedings before the court again.

The association's first urgent application was launched last Saturday when it first sought judicial intervention for a venue.

"This thing is getting a life of its own. I'll keep you posted if that happens. My client is considering launching urgent proceedings again." Jumat said.
